Try recording the guitar track separately, either using a second mic and second recorder (a Mac, a digital recorder, or whatever) siyemtanuousll, or lay down the background track independently. Then the two tracks can be mixed to get the effect you want. In fact, you should be able to merge in parts of the original background track as well, just to sound more amusing.
